| 7/98 | Doug E. Fresh publishes one-page rag-fest, deemed too offensive for public viewing, but too funny to give up.
A new, cleaner (but still offensive) version of the nÓse is written and published (Vol. 1, Issue 1).
With the assistant of local barfly Mike Barrett, a second issue is published a week later and is distributed in several local pubs.
Never one to give up on a joke, Doug E. Fresh publishes a third issue. |
| 9/98 | The nÓse is covered in the Irish Emigrant, marking the high-point of its notoriety. Sensing the impending fall, long-time editor Doug E. Fresh abandonds the paper, which is quickly revived by Mike Barrett. |
| 4/99 | Clearly displeased with the loss of his personal soapbox, Doug launches a rival for the Barrett-controlled nÓse, called the Tír na nÉws. Thus the nÓg becomes the smallest audience to support two gossip rags. |
| 7/99 | The nÉws ends its short-lived run, and the nÓse follows it into oblivion soon afterwards. |
| 2/00 | Doug E. Fresh reclaims the nÓse name and begins publishing the newsletter again, much to the annoyance of regular victims. Fans agree that it's still the same old shite. |
